Spartans 98/99G ASL Have A Great Day At UMASS
This past weekend the 98/99G ASL took a trip to Rudd Stadium, MA to watch UMASS open up their season against Harvard. The Spartans who were in MA for the Stars of Mass Labor weekend tournament attended the Friday game for what Director of Coaching Dennis Jackson described as an "Important learning experience" The girls who were introduced to the UMASS team before the game attended the game to watch and evaluate the UMASS and Harvard player that competed in their playing position. Director of Coaching Dennis Jackson went on to stay. "Our U18 goal-keeper Tori Gonzalez will be on the UMASS 2013 roster which hopefully inspires our younger players to set their targets high and make them understand that college showcasing is only a couple of years away. Tori was verbally committed last season as a Junior in HS which leaves only a couple of years peroration for the 98/99G team. Everything we do at JU carries a significant purposes and I am glad the girls and parents on the team understand this" The Spartans enjoyed another strong weekend finishing second in their group behind the #1 team in NY Empire United. Beating out the Scorpions ECNL team and Stars of Mass both top clubs in Massachusetts
